The biggest part of the city is the slums. All walks of life live is this less than hospitable section. It has a faint aroma to the area, something foul but not overpowering where it is hard to breath. The houses are apartment style with up to 20 families in a building. These apartments are one room with kitchen and those that can afford the 2 bedroom are living large.
The people, even though they life in absolute poverty, are in relatively good spirits and are as friendlier than anyone else in the city. They are quick to invite you in and reluctant to let you leave. They love to hear of adventure and tales of heroism.
In the back ally of the slums is where you go when you need something done outside the scope of law and order. If you know what to say and where to look, you can find someone to do whatever you wish.
